An Innovative Method To Charitable Giving
Available on all devices, Gift provides suggestions for nearby not-for-profits and charities in need of items users no longer need. Users simply upload their unwanted or items to be donated and Gifta provides real time solutions – making disposal sustainable and ethical whilst repurposing items to those in need.
By showing users where to take their donations on a map of their immediate area, Gifta encourages members of the local community to cultivate sustainable repurposing habits. Users are able to input a postcode or select search results generated based on their location.
Users have the ability to comment on the app to share their tips and tricks as well as share content from the app to promote their giving, repurposing and reusing. Importantly, the app will also inform users which items should not be donated and which items are in demand around their area.

Headquartered in Perth, Western Australia, Kinda Communities was founded by two local Perth students. Having met and studied at the University of Western Australia the pair were driven by the need to access appropriate charities after a number of State and National pandemics and emergencies saw many West Australians wanting to donate to charities but unsure what was needed, what charities accepted certain gifts and ultimately where to donate.
As two self-described humanitarians, they devised an application to assist in a worthy cause and Kinda was created. Gifta was their first app with further applications & clients in the pipeline.
Kinda Communities is currently welcoming new clients, and are available to assist not-for-profits and local charities in other web development areas.
